Final magazine analysis
This is my final magazine product, from the last draft the
main things that have changed are the side stories and the free poster
sections. For the side stories I went back to my research from other total film
magazines and realised that the style I was inspired by did not have many
secondary images and I thought that it was better to follow these conventions. The
free poster section has also been changed as from looking at other examples
they are usually the right way up and encased in a box to make them stand out
on the page.
for the side stories i decided to make these smaller width wise so that they do not cover up the picture (left side). I chose this image for the magazine cover as it clearly shows the zombie as the main focus point as the background is blurred, i did this using the camera that i used by adjusting the focus which blurred the background but kept her in focus. I also made the side stories very current to emphasise that it is new and could possibly be a real magazine front cover. i decided to put a hash tag on my magazine as it aims towards the age i was aiming for.

Final magazine draft part 2
For this magazine draft I was told to remove the previous images of the celebrities as they were pictures that I had not taken. to compensate for this I decided to add an add for my poster with free poster on, I have done this so it acts like a pull to buy the magazine. It also creates a direct link between my two ancillary products. I have taken inspiration from the total film magazine featuring Elysium, as on this one there is a banner across the page advertising free posters.

Final magazine draft 1
This is the first draft of my magazine leading up to the final, as you can see I have changed the title so it is more readable as well as adding other iumages of celebrities which link with the side stories. however from feedback I have been advised to remove these images and this is what the main focus of my changes will be in my next draft.

Magazine mock up unfinished
This is the mock up (incomplete) version of my magazine, I have chosen to use this image as it clearly shows the genre of the film. I also did not need to make and alteration apart from brightness and saturation on this photo as I had previously planned and practiced this shot. The reason that I did what editing I have done was to make Chantal look like she had more bruises which gives the indication that she is a zombie and she has somewhat rotting old flesh.
For the text I need to emphasise the outbreak more to show that it is the main feature as well as finding some way of making the layout seem more professional.
for the magazine name I am torn between 'total film' and 'empire'. I would prefer to use total film however I will see watch looks better and ask my peers for their opinion
