Problems

I have suffered a small setback with my project as my partner Jon Harvey has dropped the subject which means I can no longer share the workload. Also with filming I have been set back as a whole day of filming had to be deleted due to problems with the memory card needing reformatting when trying to download the pictures.

However this has allowed me to put a personal touch on the trailer and make it my own and what I would want a trailer to look like.

Changes

After getting feedback from both teachers and other students we have encountered problems such as music for our trailer, and mainly making our trailer look like a trailer and not a short film.

We have gone back to our planning and sort ways in which we can tackle this issue. We have done this by adding new shots, music and also revised our initial planning of the story.

We started with it being an ominous phone call which shows the story we have thought of showing it as a lab/ government accident. Along with a voice over that states the story clearly.

Also we needed to make it clearer that it was a zombie/infected film by showing the contrast between humans and the infected. We have filmed both walking and are going to have it jumping between then.

 i have als odecided to use a larger company as an ident within my trailer this gives it a more professional look and makes my film look like an actual production.

Filming

We have encountered numerous problems when filming our trailer, the main being the use of natural light with both of us being in sixth form we do not have enough time to film apart from weekends meaning that we cannot complete our filming throughout the week. This is also not helped by the fact that our main actor is not always free for filming over the weekend so our filming is postponed until a day that suits us all. Also our trialed takes place in numerous locations meaning that we have to film at certain times such as a car park, due to our trailer being a post apocalyptic zombie film we need to pick a time were there are not many people around so that is usually on a Sunday afternoon in which it is quieter and it is still light.
